Dean Sobon has been an acting teacher and an acting coach for over 10 years, and is also the acting coordinator for The Dutch Apple's summer camp, Broadway Bound. Dean started his acting career in television, with a movie, Hard Facts, and he was a regular on a local show, Growing Up. He soon fell in love with the theater and spent the last 25 years performing all over the world, in over 15 countries and 49 states. Shows include, Man of La Mancha, West Side Story, Annie, Annie Get Your Gun, Guys and Dolls, On the Town, Snoopy, Music Man, 1776, Gypsy, A Little Night Music, as well as many, many others. Dean decided after so many years of travel, he was ready to lay down some roots in the coolest town of Lititz and began directing and teaching. Some shows he directed include the national tour of Fiddler on the Roof, The Sound of Music, Guys and Dolls. The Wizard of Oz, Big River, Crazy for You, Honk, A Closer Walk With Patsy Cline, as well as many others. He also directs at Warwick H.S. and M.S., he feels it is very important to give back to to the community, and has directed such shows as Into the Woods, The Miracle Worker, Fiddler on the Roof, Harvey, Our Town, It's a Wonderful Life, and many others. Dean is also an accomplished writer, having written many shows and monologues. But the best thing he has ever done was become a husband and a father.
